We are looking for a HR Intern to join our  team. In this role, you will provide support to our talent acquisition function, specific to general recruiting responsibilities, along with special HR projects to achieve improvements in alignment with Stax’s organizational needs. You will work closely with our HR team to help drive our recruiting function to meet the demands of our vastly growing consulting teams located in Boston and Chicago. You will have the opportunity to gain experience working across the Boston and Chicago talent markets. Additionally, you will gain an understanding of HR best practices, including but not limited to: candidate correspondence, campus recruiting processes, and compliances in employment documentation. This dynamic, hands-on position offers an incredible chance for you to gain experience within human resources.


Specifically, in this role you will:

  • Participate in the candidate selection and relationship-building process.
  • Assist in scheduling interviews for all levels of positions.
  • Send interview correspondence to candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provide administrative support for college recruiting activities.
  • Assist with reference checks, job postings, and other departmental projects as needed.
  • Help with the validation and documentation of I-9 Form.
  • Provide just in time support, such as last-minute interview cancellations and rescheduling.


  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Completion of one or more co-op or internship of related recruiting/HR experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the firm.
  • Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through participation on teams/clubs/organizations/associations, whether extracurricular or professional.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, specifically iCIMS, is a plus.

The Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to work very closely with our HR team gaining experience across employee benefits, human resource policies, recruiting, and talent development.
