Business Systems Analyst

Stax recently announced a strategic investment by Blue Point Capital Partners which will fuel a new chapter of growth in key areas across the firm including the expansion of our IT efforts. To support our accelerated growth, Stax is expanding our IT team and the new Business Systems Analyst will play an integral role in this growth.

A Business Systems Analyst plays a vital role within the firm and is presented with tremendous opportunities for professional development and personal growth. As the Business Systems Analyst, your role will be to help the organization continuously identify opportunities for improvement, design (with the internal client) and implement the improvement strategies. The Business Systems Analyst helps guide the business in improving processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. You will straddle the line between IT and the business to help bridge the gap and improve efficiency. The Business Systems Analyst partners closely with employees from all levels at Stax to analyze processes, generate requirements, and execute projects to meet those requirements. You will conduct full project lifecycle and application ownership including gathering requirements, planning activities, and design. You will be the voice of the user in guiding improvements in systems and processes.

Specifically, in this role you will:

• Manage stakeholders, users, and conduct requirement workshops.
• Locate and define new process improvements and streamline repetitive tasks.
• Perform impact analysis and gap analysis.
• Perform ROI and cost/benefit analysis.
• Prepare and present business case to executive leadership.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, and ensure all requirements are met in the delivered solution.
• Map processes, use cases, and prepare present the business case.
• Plan, design, configure, create, and execute test cases and training material.
• Work with data analysts to ensure good data hygiene throughout our software portfolio.
• Provide support for and manage application portfolio.
• Plan, design, configure, and implement systems.
• Create and maintain application runbooks.
• Adhere to and maintain IT controls including audits of those controls.
• Take ownership of issues, independently prioritize, and move between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence to meet the needs of our users.
• Self-motivate to learn and understand data, business processes, concepts, and technologies

• Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic excellence, ideally in a discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.

• 3-4 years of proven working experience as a Business Analyst or application owner.
• Technical expertise regarding capturing and documenting work and data flows, application design development and implementation, application configuration, and process optimization.

• Strong understanding of IPsec, IT Controls, SOC, and PII.
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.

• Strong knowledge of and experience with enterprise applications (ERP, Contract management Systems, CRM, UCaaS, SaaS, VoIP, and other applications.)
• Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Root Cause analysis, Decision analysis, Incident management, Risk management.
• Waterfall, agile/scrum, or other rapid development methodologies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem and Microsoft Office.

• Detail oriented, self-starter with an intellectual curiosity and teamwork capabilities.

• Excellent critical thinking, understanding of business research and analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with a project base consulting business is a big plus.
