Responsibilities

Responsibilities  

Associate Directors play a critical leadership role at Stax in developing and motivating team members, expanding our capabilities and leading firm initiatives to support our growth. You will assist in scoping projects and framing issues for clients and manage day-to-day workings of engagements engaging with clients directly and leading a team of consultants. You will identify value creation opportunities, shape and align on implementation, and support their execution and long-term success. Associate Directors are responsible for leading and delivering complex client engagements, driving insights, and responsible for the ultimate success of final deliverables. You will also be responsible for proposal development and supporting more senior members of the team in identifying business opportunities  

 

At Stax, you will be exposed to diverse client engagements, allowing you to gain experience in a broad range of industries. Your work is highly visible to client’s management team through significant client interaction and impact. You will have the opportunity to own projects and at the same time will work collaboratively working alongside the senior leadership team that is accessible and consistently offers opportunities to learn and grow. You will get formal and in-project mentorship opportunities to support your long-term career path. 

Qualifications

Qualifications  

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of experience with strategy consulting, strategic planning/corporate strategy group, or private equity/venture capital firm. 
  • Proven experience across a range of value creation areas including growth strategy, performance improvement and/or merger integration. 
  • Strong critical thinking, ability to develop and apply strategic frameworks and practice methodologies  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage consulting projects from nuts to bolts including planning and managing multiple and differing work streams within tight timelines.    
  • Proven written, verbal and presentation skills that demonstrate the ability to frame ideas that capture the appropriate level of detail, while conveying the “big picture” message and structuring of output logically.  
  • Proven knowledge of full suite of analytical skills needed to execute project work and demonstrated proficiency in advanced MS Excel.    
  • Strong leadership qualities, with a focus on building inclusive experiences, mentoring, and team development. 
  • Proven ability to liaise closely with and manage global project teams a plus. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
